lyrics

I thought the view would be clearer, from up here on my high horse
Bit it seems that I've lost track, but I'm still on course
It's easy so it seems, if you please

Salvation – it's a selfish sensation
Salvation – self preservation

I'm in need of directive, substantially more objective
Sights less blinkered, thoughts less tinkered
A lack of gumption, leads me to my assumption
The gap between what's said and done
Grows without interruption

So shout me down when I pipe up, and be generous with council
As you fill my cup, let my ears and eyes believe
So that I can see
So I might forgive, trespasses against me
From those who cannot give

Salvation – it's a selfish sensation
Salvation – without hesitation
Salvation – it's a selfish sensation
Salvation – self preservation
